Timberlake’s Patio Party!

On June 5th, we hosted our first Patio Party! Vibrant music and the smell of freshly grilled burger baskets filled the venue courtesy of local musician P.K. Mayo and the wonderful Timberlake Restaurant Chefs.  Laughter and joy were contagious as friends, old and new, gathered together to ring in the start of summer. The night flew by, leaving us with incredible memories etched in our hearts. It was a perfect blend of fun, laughter, and music. To put a cherry on top- we had a complementary ice cream bar to finish the night!

Luckily, we will be hosting a few more of these events to celebrate the summer and early fall in beautiful Grand Rapids. Showcasing local musicians and homecooked food, stay tuned on our social media for details so you can join us at the next Patio Party!

Riders gather at Black Bear Casino Resort and depart on Thursday morning for Fortune Bay Resort Casino.  Friday morning they get back on their sleds and rode to Grand Rapids to stay at our Lodge and enjoy a 2-entrée buffet, program, raffle and live music and dancing!  Saturday morning they rode back to Black Bear Casino for a celebration dinner, auction and program.  Riders must each raise or donate a minimum of $2,000 to participate.  There were 265 riders in this year’s event!

TimberLake Lodge Hosts the 13th Annual Chef’s Gala

Timberlake Lodge recently hosted the 13th annual Chef’s Gala, an event organized by Second Harvest North Central Food Bank.  The event raised over $121,000 which can provide up to 350,000 meals to fight hunger in the Northland!

It was incredible to get everyone together again following two years of virtual events in 2021 and 2022.  The Chef’s Gala is an event that features premier chefs from the Grand Rapids area combining forces to put on arguably the best menu in the region.  This year’s chefs included Brandan and Amanda Grubbs of Spartan Deli, Robert Hansen of Forest Lake Restaurant, Jeremy Foix and Tony Pfeifer of Timberlake Restaurant, and Tia Marie of UnWined.

Another feature of the event is the opportunity to bid on “Celebrity Servers” at live auction.  This year’s auctioneer was Paul Strunge, and our Celebrity Servers included Tuleah Palmer, President at Blandin Foundation, Ashley Brubaker, owner of True North Salon and Spa, Jean MacDonnell, President and CEO of Fairview Range and Grand Itasca at Fairview Health Services, and Kathy Benham, General Manager at Minnesota Power.

“On behalf of Second Harvest North Central Food Bank, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all those who supported our 13th Annual Chef’s Gala.  We are grateful for the generosity of Gala guests, chefs, food donors, MC, volunteers and local businesses for making this event such a success.  With your support we will continue the fight against hunger because no one should have to be hungry” said Sue Estee, Executive Director of Second Harvest North Central Food Bank.

We at the Timberlake are grateful for the hard work and dedication of Second Harvest and were honored to host and participate in the event.
