The Black Woods Blizzard Tour recently made a stop at the Timberlake Lodge in Grand Rapids, MN!
The Blizzard Tour is a huge gathering of snowmobilers in the fight against ALS. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Although there is no cure or treatment yet, advances in scientific research have made significant progress in understanding what causes ALS. In both 2020 and 2021, Never Surrender Inc, the organizer of the Blizzard Tour, have donated over $1 million in the Fight Against ALS. This year the Blizzard tour raised $1,920,000!
Riders gather at Black Bear Casino Resort and depart on Thursday morning for Fortune Bay Resort Casino. Friday morning they get back on their sleds and rode to Grand Rapids to stay at our Lodge and enjoy a 2-entrée buffet, program, raffle and live music and dancing! Saturday morning they rode back to Black Bear Casino for a celebration dinner, auction and program. Riders must each raise or donate a minimum of $2,000 to participate. There were 265 riders in this year’s event!
